About the workplace

The Labor Market Department is responsible for the authority's exercise of social assistance and economic support, coordination of all labor market initiatives in which the municipality participates, and coordination of the municipality's establishment of newcomers.

A clear goal for the department is the work line, to reduce the number of people receiving social assistance so that more can achieve self-sufficiency. In our department, we have a successful and close collaboration between social workers and labor market consultants, as well as a Job Center with other actors such as the Employment Service and Adult Education, which together enables individuals to become self-sufficient.

Job responsibilities

• Investigate the right to social assistance and economic support
• Engage with individuals and support them on their path to self-sufficiency
• Document and follow up on established plans
• Collaborate internally and externally
• Provide advice and social support to individuals
• Actively contribute to your own, the work group's, and the department's development

Who are we looking for

• You have an easy time building relationships and have a motivating approach to help individuals achieve self-sufficiency
• You are proactive in collaboration and have a solution-focused approach to achieve the best results for individuals
• You are self-driven and show this by setting realistic expectations for individuals
• You are structured and thorough, demonstrated by clear and timely documentation, effective organization and prioritization of work, and following up on individuals' plans.
• You are persistent, stable, and have high moral standards, which you demonstrate when making decisions for individuals.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Qualifications

• You are a social worker or have an equivalent bachelor's degree from a university that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• You have good knowledge of laws and regulations in the area
• You are proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• You are accustomed to working in IT environments
• You are experienced in documentation and investigation.

Experience as a social worker handling social assistance in recent times is an advantage.
